On October 9, the girls varsity volleyball team went head to head against Shawnee Mission South. The girls also celebrated their senior night by honoring the four seniors on the team: Ally Huffman, Sydney Ashner, Gracey Stoetzer, and Victoria Yedo. After 5 intense sets, SM East lost against SM South. They won their second set and fourth set, but lost the first, third, and fifth. The team will end the season with a tournament on October 14.
