The girls soccer team kicked off their season on Tuesday, March 11 at the varsity jamboree. East played two 30-minute games against Eudora and De Soto High School. The Lancers defeated Eudora 4-0. Sophomore Molly Scott scored the first goal with an assist from senior Sylvia Mohrsting. The second and third goals were scored by senior Sylvia Mohrsting and assisted by junior Kate Lucas. Senior Sophia Griggs scored the fourth goal against Eudora with an assist from junior Ellie Moilanen. SM East defeated De Soto 1-0. Junior Kate Lucas scored the only goal against De Soto from a free-kick.
The girls varsity soccer team has their next game April 8 at 7 p.m. versus SM West at the SM Athletic Center.

Entering her third year on staff and maybe final year on staff, joking. Junior Addie Clark is excited to continue her role as Assistant Photo Editor.
