Gallery: Girls Varsity Lacrosse Defeats St. Thomas Aquinas 9-8

With only a few seconds left on the clock in the fourth quarter, junior Brynn Delaney scored a goal for Varsity Shawnee Mission Girls Lacrosse to beat St. Thomas Aquinas 9-8. To begin the first game of the season, St. Thomas Aquinas scored the first goal. At half, Shawnee Mission was down 6-4. Shortly into the third quarter, Shawnee Mission scored their first goal of the second half. By the end of the fourth quarter, the game was 8-8 until Delaney scored the winning goal.

The team’s next game is on March 25 and will be played against St. James Academy at 7:30 p.m. at Shawnee Mission Athletic Complex.
