Gallery: Girls Varsity Basketball Falls to SMW 55-49

The SM east varsity girls basketball team fell to SM West Vikings 49-55 at home on Friday, Feb. 17. At the end of the first quarter, the score was 10-10. During halftime the lancer dancers preformed their game day routine, with the score of the game at 20-28 in favor of the Vikings. At the end of the third quarter, the score was 29-44 in favor of the Vikings. Throughout the fourth quarter, the Vikings maintained their lead, with both teams scoring a few more points in the last minute. The top scorer of the game was junior Abigail Long, scoring 29 points. In between the girls varsity and boys varsity game, the lancer dancers held their senior night.

The next girls varsity basketball game will be on Fri., Feb. 24 at 5:30 p.m. at SME.

Entering her third and final year on staff, senior Liv Madden is ready to set a good example and be a great leader as Head photo editor. While she is not sitting in the back of the journalism room with her fellow staff members, she enjoys playing Lacrosse, being a member of the student store, and competing in DECA. »
