Gallery: Girls Varsity Basketball Falls to Olathe West 51-25

In a tough game the SM East Girls varsity team fell to Olathe West on Feb 24, 51-25. The game started out pretty low scoring and evenly matched with the score tied 7-7 at the end of the first quarter. Then East had a hard time getting their offense together in the second quarter, the final score at halftime was 25-13. Senior Fina Kessler led East in points with 11, but overall it wasn’t enough to keep up with Olathe West. This season has been a hard one for the girls and another loss drops their record down to 8-14.

They will finish the regular season this Friday with a game against their rivals SM South which will be their hardest game of the season as South is the highest ranked school in Kansas 6A division.
