Gallery: Girls Varsity Basketball Falls to Notre Dame de Sion 55-42

The Lancers fell to Notre Dame de Sion in their first game of the season after being ahead 27-25 during the second quarter on Dec. 5. To start the game, the Lancers kept even with a score of 11-11 within the first quarter. By halftime, the Lancers were leading 27-25 due to a buzzer-beater layup by sophomore Darcy Kroenig. Throughout the game, the SM East varsity cheer team performed multiple cheers to pump up the student section, including the “Go, Go, Go” chant. At the end of the third quarter, the Lancers trailed behind the Storm with a score of 42-38 and failed to take back the lead, ultimately leading to a loss of 55-42.
