Gallery: Girls Varsity Basketball Falls to Mill Valley 44-38

The girls varsity basketball team fell 44-38 to Mill Valley on Feb. 14. Through the game during the first quarter, the Lancers kept even with Mill Valley and were tied 12-12 by the end of the quarter. At the end of halftime the Lancers were just one point behind the Jaguars with a score of 20-19. The SM East cheer team also did a five minute performance at halftime. At the end of the third quarter, the Lancers trailed behind the Jaguars with a close score of 31-29. The last few minutes of the game were very close in score. Junior Fina Kessler made one final layup to try and beat the Jaguars, but it wasn't enough as the Lancers fell to the Jaguars. Making their record now 7-10.

The Lancers’ next game is at home on Feb. 21 at 4 p.m. against SM West.

Starting her second year on The Harbinger Staff as a Staff Photographer, junior Anastasia Flower is excited to keep exploring the role of photography! Last year, Anastasia found her new passion in photography through going to deadlines, shooting late-night sports games and meeting new friends. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her friends, play sports including soccer and golf, binge-watch the TV show Friends or spend hours of her day completing her homework due the next day. »
