Two girls’ varsity basketball players scored higher than their typical point averages in the game against Olathe East. Senior Fina Kessler scored seventeen points and junior Coco Reiser scored fourteen points throughout the game. The girls’ varsity basketball team trailed behind Olathe East, 13-1 at the end of the first quarter. SM East was still down 25-20 at the end of the second quarter Then, in the third quarter, Reiser scored six points pushing the Lancers to lead 33-31. The Lancers defeated the Hawks 46-37.
The Lancers will play their next game against Lawrence Free State on Feb. 17th at SM East at 5:30 p.m.
