Gallery: Girls Varsity Basketball Defeats Gardner Edgerton 54-49

 The Lancers defeated the Gardner Edgerton Blazers 54-49 on Tuesday, Feb. 4 in a triple-overtime game. At the half, the Lancers were down 25-15, but came back in the second half to put up 28 points. Regulation play ended with the teams tied 43-43, and both teams scored back and forth until the third overtime period, where the Lancers put up five points to win the game. Junior Fina Kessler led in three-pointers, scoring four of the team's five, with junior Sydney Eck scoring the remaining three points. The team’s record is now 6-8.

The Lancers are scheduled to play their next away game on Tuesday, Feb. 11 against Olathe East at 5:30 p.m. at Olathe East High School.

Going into her fourth semester on the Harbinger staff, junior Francesca Lorusso is delighted to start as an art editor, photo mentor and page designer. When she isn’t struggling to write a coherent caption for a gallery or losing sleep over making someone’s page art, she is helping to plan an International club meeting, making costumes for a play or musical, or trying to perfect an AP Art project. »
