The Lancers defeated the Gardner Edgerton Blazers 54-49 on Tuesday, Feb. 4 in a triple-overtime game. At the half, the Lancers were down 25-15, but came back in the second half to put up 28 points. Regulation play ended with the teams tied 43-43, and both teams scored back and forth until the third overtime period, where the Lancers put up five points to win the game. Junior Fina Kessler led in three-pointers, scoring four of the team’s five, with junior Sydney Eck scoring the remaining three points. The team’s record is now 6-8.
The Lancers are scheduled to play their next away game on Tuesday, Feb. 11 against Olathe East at 5:30 p.m. at Olathe East High School.
