Girls JV lacrosse had a 6-0 winning streak and the number one seed position in the league leading into their seventh game of the season against Pembroke Hill on April 23. The team was able to continue that streak by scoring seven goals in the first half and only allowing Pembroke to score one. The team attempted new plays in the second half while they had the lead.
“I really like when we can try new plays in the games, not just in practice,” Freshman Rubi Hakes said. “It makes the game more fun.” The JV girls are currently the favorites to win the league championship with only three games left.
JV Shawnee Mission Girls Lacrosse plays on Monday, April 29 against St. Thomas Aquinas at 6:30 p.m. at Westridge Middle School.
