Gallery: Girls JV Basketball Falls to Bishop Miege 53-37

The girl’s JV basketball team hosted Bishop Miege for their second game of the season on Tuesday, Dec. 13. At halftime, the Lancers were up 22-17. By the end of the fourth quarter, East was down and ended up losing 53-37 to Bishop Miege. Freshman Fina Kessler and sophomore Naomi Kincaid both had the most three-pointers during the game, with two shots each. East had a total of ten two-point shots, three three-pointers and five out of seven successful free throws. JV’s overall record is now 1-1.

The next JV game is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 16 at 4 p.m. against Lawrence High School. This will be the team’s first away game hosted by Lawrence.

Lili Vottero is going into her second semester of The Harbinger as a Sophomore. She is an assistant Photographer and is so excited for this year! Lili is part of the SME Lancer Dancers and is enjoying it so much. When Lili isn’t taking pictures she loves to dance, hangout with friends and family. Senior Clara Peters is so excited for her fourth year on the Harbinger staff as a Head Print Photo Editor. When she’s not editing photos, designing photostories, or holding her camera, you’ll find her hanging out with friends, walking her dogs or listening to music. Outside of Harbinger, she holds the roles of a SHARE Exec and Link Leader. Peters can’t wait to lead this year’s photography staff with the other editors! »

Entering her third and final year on staff, senior Riley Scott could not be more thrilled to be one of the Head Photographer Editors. You can often times find Riley cheering on the sidelines of football games, diving at KU or nannying after school. Riley is also involved with Link Crew and NHS. In her free time she loves driving around listening to Taylor Swift, rewatching Gossip Girl or hanging around the pool with her friends. »
