The girls JV basketball team played against SM Northwest at 4 p.m. on Jan. 16, at SM East. SMNorthwest took the lead in the first period but also led in fouls, having a total of six fouls. SM East held onto their lead going into halftime before continuing their strong play into the second half. Cheer performed during halftime. As the clock ran out, Charlotte Kapke ended the game with a layup, scoring the last two winning points for her team. Ending the game with a win, 53-41.
The Lancers will play their next game against SM Northwest on Jan. 22 at SM East High School at 7:30p.m.
