Gallery: Girls Basketball Tryouts

The girls’ basketball team held tryouts from Nov. 18 to Nov. 20. Two groups attended tryouts each day, juniors and seniors from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and freshmen and sophomores from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Players were evaluated throughout the three days by Coach Archer and his coaching staff. The girls participated in dribbling, shooting and running drills. The girls’ basketball tryout results were released on Wednesday, Nov. 20 and practices began the following day.

The varsity girls’ basketball Jamboree will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 3 in the SM East gym at 5 p.m. followed by Late Night in the Castle at 8 p.m.

Paige Bean

Paige Bean
Saving the best for last, senior Paige Bean is entering her final year on staff as the Head Print Photo Editor. Paige has been on staff since her freshman year and taking photos since she was born, thanks to her father. When she’s not in the journalism room, Paige is the Student Body President, a member of Kemper Teen Arts Council, President of the Just Like You Films Youth Advisory Board, and more. Paige hopes to study filmmaking next year and continue creating media. »

Ava Towner

Ava Towner
Going into her second year on staff as an assistant photo editor, junior Ava Towner is so excited for this school year. Outside of Harbinger, Ava is involved in tennis and SHARE at East. When Ava is not taking pictures, you can find her hanging out with friends, nannying, walking her dogs, cramming for an AP class, or shopping. »
