On Monday, the varsity and freshman players practiced after school in the 86° humid weather. Today, they worked on individual positions for offense and defense, where the players work with their coaches on their main positions. The varsity team is preparing for Thursday’s game against Lawrence High School. The team is hoping for a comeback after their first game against Gardener Edgerton High School, where the Lancers fell 14-49. “We got more game under our belt, even though we lost, ” says sophomore Michael Henderson, who is playing in Thursday’s game, “I am more nervous for the first play than anything else.”
