In the first game of their double header, the Lancer baseball D-team defeated Shawnee Mission South 13-0 after five innings. Freshman Neisan Kennedy started the game for the Lancers, throwing a complete game over five innings, allowing zero runs and two hits with seven strikeouts. Offensively, the Lancers totaled 6 hits by freshman Wyatt Newby, Luke Keller, Hudson Wittmer, Garrett Wilkerson, and Nico Ebeid. They also took seven walks and seven hit by pitches. The Lancers then won the second game of their double header 12-0. The two wins brought the Lancer’s record to 8-10
The D-team’s next game will be a doubleheader on Thursday, May 8 at Olathe District Activity Center. The first game will begin at 4:15 p.m. followed by another at 6:30. These will be the last two games of the D-team’s season.
