Gallery: Boys Varsity Swim Dual Meet

On Thursday Jan. 15 there were two new state cuts: senior Luke Sinatra swam the 50-yard freestyle in 22.86 seconds and junior Cole Person in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 57.68 seconds. These two state cuts, along with the others from this season, total up to 15 across the entire team. There were 4 first place finishes; sophomore Harvey Mariner in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:00.40, senior Matthew Waters in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:38.73 and Cole Person in the 100-yard backstroke. Also placing first overall with a time of 1:36.86 was the 200-yard freestyle relay team, which consisted of seniors Henry Saylor and Grant Kimmel, junior Charlie Holloway and freshman Jack Minturn.

The next meet will be on Jan. 20 against Blue Valley North at the Shawnee Mission Aquatic Center at 3:30 P.M.
