Gallery: Boys Varsity Soccer State Send-Off

Pep Club hosted a state send off celebration for the boys varsity soccer team on Saturday, Nov. 9. This was the first time in East history the Lancers had made it all the way to the state championship. The team left for Wichita with a record of 18-1-1, the boys faced the undefeated Dodge City Red Demons. For all 20 seniors on the team, it was their last time playing.

"It's always an exciting moment," said Head Coach Jamie Kelly. "The boys know they have this opportunity in front of them to be able to not only have that first opportunity to play in this championship game, but to do something really special to try to win that first state championship in school history."
