Gallery: Boys Varsity Soccer Draws SM West 0-0

The Lancers went into the game against SM West ranked tenth in the state with SM West being ranked third in the state by Metro Mokan Sports. The roster this year consists of 20 seniors and three juniors — one including junior Stephen Hlobik in the starting lineup.

“We knew we were going to have a good season with a strong squad, but [had] a lot of nerves because West was a good team and we wanted to start the season off 1-0,” Hlobik said.

The Lancers were held to zero goals in the first and second half. The game then went into overtime that consisted of two 10-minute halves of “golden goal” where the first goal scored wins. Both teams held each other to zero goals and the Lancers left the game with a draw against SM West.
