The Lancers took home another win in their last game of the regular season. Among the varsity players, sophomores Lars Alsin and Ben Perkins joined the team from JV to official varsity players. Sophomore JV player Christopher Hastert also suited up to play in Thursday night’s game. During the first half of the game, senior Ryan Holland scored the first goal of the night for the lancers raising the score to 1-0. No other goals were scored in the first half. During the second half, two more goals were scored by juniors Beck Rettenmaier and Conor Neusel. The Lancers defeated the SM North Bison 3-0. The team ended their regular season with an overall record of 11-2-3 and a Sunflower League record of 8-2-3.
The Lancers are scheduled to play their first regional playoff game on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. against Wyandotte High School. The game will take place at the Shawnee Mission Soccer Complex.

Senior Amelie Wong is entering her third and final year on staff as Harbinger’s first ever head online photo editor. Though she is still trying to figure out all of the responsibilities for her new role, she is so excited to see what new challenges this year brings.
