Gallery: Boys Varsity Soccer Defeats Olathe West 3-0

The Lancers faced off against the Olathe West Owls yesterday for a home game at SMAC. Senior George Hartman put the Lancers on the board in the first half with the first goal of the night. At the end of the first half, the Lancers led, 1-0. During the second half, two more goals were scored, both by senior Jack Meirowsky. Prior to the game, the Lancers were ranked second in the state for the 6A Eastern Regional Division while the Owls were the number one team in the division. According to KSHSAA, the Lancers are now the number one team in the division with a total of 0.833 seed points and the Owls are ranked second with 0.777 seed points. The team's record sits at 7-1-1.

The Lancers next home game is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 3 against Lawrence Free State at 7 p.m. at SMAC.
