Gallery: Boys Varsity Soccer Defeats Olathe Northwest 8-0

The Lancers hosted the Olathe Northwest Ravens for a home game at SMAC on Thursday, Sept. 26. Within the first four minutes of the first half, senior George Hartman scored the first goal of the night, putting the Lancers on the board, 1-0. The team continued to lead the game for the rest of the first half, with a lead of 5-0. The other four goals in the first half were scored by seniors Quinn McCarthy, Ben Perkins (2) and Chase Koeneman. Senior George Hartman scored the team’s eighth goal within 10 minutes of the second half, putting the mercy rule into effect and ending the game. Senior Brady Neuman and junior Stephen Hlobik also scored during the second half. The team’s record now sits at 6-1-1.

The Lancers are scheduled to play their next game on Tuesday, Oct. 1 against Olathe West at SMAC at 7 p.m.
