Gallery: Boys Varsity Soccer Defeats Olathe East 3-0 on Senior Night

The Lancers completed their season with another win, defeating Olathe East 3-0 and being named the 2024 Sunflower League Champs for the second year in a row on Thursday, Oct. 25. The game was originally scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. but it was pushed up to 5 p.m. due to severe thunderstorms that were supposed to hit later that night. Senior George Hartman scored all three goals of the night, one in the first half and two in the second, assists were made by senior Brady Neuman and Junior Stephen Hlobik. The varsity Lancer Dancers performed their game day hip hop routine during halftime.

At the conclusion of the game, the Lancers held their senior night ceremony for their 20 senior players and five senior managers: Nathan Daniels, Colton Sims, Luke LaHue,Clayton Weaver and Bo Morrissey. JV boys soccer players, JV and varsity Lancer Dancers and JV and varsity cheerleaders lined the field as the players walked down with their families as their names were announced.

The Lancers hold the title of the number one ranked in the 6A Eastern Regional Division with an overall record of 14-1-1 and .906 seed points. The Lancers will host their Regional Semi-Final game on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. at SMAC. The team will face off against Blue Valley High School, who is currently ranked at 16 in the division with a record of 5-11-0 and has .312 seed points. The Lancers will be the number one seed in the KSHSAA Class 6A Regional Bracket.
