Gallery: Boys Varsity Soccer Defeats Lawrence High 2-1

The boys varsity soccer team defeated Lawrence High School 2-1 on Oct. 14. In the beginning of the first half, senior Owen Andrews scored the first goal with 24 minutes remaining in the first half. Senior goalkeeper Will Griffith, started the game but after a tackle outside the 18-yard box, Griffith was given a red card for denying a Lions obvious goal-scoring opportunity. The next goal was scored by Lawrence from a free kick given to them due to the red card. The third and final goal was scored in the second half by senior Carter Santa who headed the ball from a corner kick with 4 minutes left on the clock.

The Varsity boys soccer team's next game is at the Shawnee Mission Soccer Complex, on Tuesday, Oct. 21st against SM Northwest.
