Gallery: Boys Varsity Soccer Defeats Lawrence 4-0 on Senior Night

Boys varsity soccer played their last home game against Lawrence on Tuesday, Oct. 17. Prior to kickoff seniors Wesley Cribb, Alex Flower, Ben Hembree, Nick Lindmark, Chase Miller, Conor Neusel, Beck Rettenmaier, Alex Tiedt and Drew Trucksess were honored for senior night. Senior Alex Tiedt scored an early goal in the first two minutes of the game, making the score 1-0. During halftime there was a performance by the varsity Lancer Dancers. The Lancers continued to lead the game going into the second half when seniors Conor Neusel, Beck Rettenmaier and junior Lars Alsin scored, leading to a 4-0 win.

The Lancers then went on to win their last game of the season against SM North 9-1 claiming the title of 2023 Sunflower League Champs on Thursday, Oct. 19. Ending the season with a record of 13-3.

Varsity will play their first playoff game on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at SMAC at 6 p.m. against SM North.

Junior Will Griffith is starting his third year as a photographer on staff as an assistant photo editor. When he's not scrambling to edit photos or check galleries, he is most likely on the soccer field in goal or the football field kicking and punting. Will loves spending his Saturday mornings watching premier league games and then watching college football the rest of the day. Will is excited to start the new challenge of an assistant photo editor and ready for the new role. »

When she's not looking through her wide lens capturing the moment, editing galleries or designing photostories in the J room, you can find her driving around with her friends listening to Taylor Swift. Martucci also serves as Senior Class Vice President, chairs three projects for SHARE and serves on the Women in Leadership Council. »

Junior Maggie Condon is thrilled to start her third year on staff. This year Maggie will be both a Staff Photographer and Staff Writer. In her time spent outside of Harbinger deadlines you could find her on the tennis court or lacrosse field. Besides that she is excited for her third year on Student Council as the Junior class president and hopes to spend as much time as possible with family and friends. »
