The Lancers varsity football team won their second round of state playoffs against the Olathe East Hawks 23-12. On Friday, November 2, the Lancers put up 16 points in the first half and then held the Hawks to just 12 in the second half to advance to the third round. Junior Tony Friends scored two touchdowns and senior Rashaun Burney scored once. Senior Parker Willis made one 28 yard field goal and missed one extra point. East will face Olathe North on Friday, November 9th in the third round of the KSHSAA – 6A tournament.
