Gallery: Boys Varsity Basketball Falls to SM South 32-31

After winning their last game against Olathe West, the boys varsity basketball team battled against SM South on Friday, Feb. 23 at SM South. At the end of the first quarter, the Lancers were tied 4-4 with the Raiders. After scoring 11 points, the Lancers fell behind at halftime — entering with a score of 17-15. During the third quarter, the Lancers scored 14 points, giving the Lancers a lead of 29-24 entering the fourth quarter. In the last few minutes of the game, the Lancers scored 2 points but were unable to outscore the Raiders, ultimately falling to the Raiders 32-31. The boys varsity basketball team's record now sits at 13-7.

The next boys varsity basketball game will be sub-state at East at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28 against SM South.

As a fourth year harbinger staffer, senior Mason Sajna is excited to be a leader on staff this year as a Video Editor, Photo Mentor and Equipment Manager. When he isn’t in the J room editing a video or trying to find some tripod piece, Mason is running as a varsity track and cross country runner and is in five AP classes. When things finally slow down, Mason likes to spend his free time with his friends or just hang out at home. »
