Gallery: Boys Varsity Basketball Falls to Olathe North 56-41

On Feb. 3, the Lancer boys varsity basketball team battled Olathe North and lost 56-41. Ending the first quarter, the Lancers had scored 10 points. By the end of the second quarter, the lancers were down 17-12. Ending the third quarter, the Lancers were trailing 33-22. The Lancers scored 19 points scored in the fourth quarter, but were unable to catch up to Olathe North and lost the game.

“I would say we struggled offensively,” team manager senior Afa Akwankaa said. “Our turnover rate was very high, I believe we had 16 in the game. The guys weren’t in sync with one another and we struggled to get a consistent offense flowing. Defensively though, they played amazing, rebounding the ball well and denying shot attempts.”
