Gallery: Boys Varsity Basketball Defeats St. James 54-33

The boys varsity basketball team took on St. James Academy in the first round of the Championship Showdown on Tuesday, Dec. 5. East led for the entire first half, ending 29-19. St. James scored zero points in the third quarter, ending 41-15. St. James gained some momentum back going into the fourth quarter of the game, outscoring the Lancers by four points. Senior Abdoulaye Kante was the leading scorer of the game with 18 points. The Lancers continued to maintain the lead, which was held for the entirety of game, ending 54-33.

Boys varsity will move on to play Washburn Rural at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7.
