Gallery: Boys Varsity Basketball Defeats Gardner Edgerton 55-49

Beginning with a performance of the National Anthem from Briarwood Elementary School’s choir on Little Lancer Night, the Lancers defeated the Gardner Edgerton Blazers 55-49 on Wednesday, Feb. 4. The Lancers led the Blazers 11-10 at the end of the first quarter. At halftime the Lancers were still up, leading 25-22. During halftime the Lancer Dancers performed their varsity nationals hip-hop routine and after recognized senior Ella Hargens for being nominated as a sweetheart court candidate. Hargens will be missing the sweetheart court crowning for dance nationals. At the end of the third quarter, the Lancers led the Blazers 41-29. The game ended with the Lancers winning 55-49.

The Lancers are scheduled to play their next away game on Tuesday, Feb. 11 against Olathe East at 7 p.m. at Olathe East High School.

Working on his third year on Harbinger staff, senior Alex Sajna is thrilled to lead the video team as a Video Editor and take pictures as a Photographer. Besides Harbinger, Alex runs cross country and track, takes AP classes and works part time. When he’s not in the J-room, you can find Alex working on his car, making up a cross country practice late at night, or hanging out with family and friends. »
