Gallery: Boys Varsity Baseball defeats Rockhurst 7-0 on Senior Night

Senior Nate Schlote led the Lancers to defeat their longtime rival the Rockhurst Hawklets, as Schlote pitched five dominant innings, striking out nine, and allowed just one hit. The Lancers started the night recognizing 14 seniors prior to the game. Senior Carter Rose was the starting pitcher of the game, after not being able to pitch yet this season due to an injury. During the third inning, the Lancers accumulated four runs, and in the fourth inning they got three runs. The Lancers collected nine hits, with senior Fletcher Noblit leading the offense with two RBIs and senior Carter Rose having two hits. The Lancers defeated the Hawklets 7-0 on Thursday, May 1.

The boys varsity baseball team has their next game on Tuesday, May 6 against Lawrence High School at 7 p.m. at the 3 & 2 Baseball Complex. The Lancer’s record is 13-6 with four games left before playoffs begin.
