Gallery: Boys Swim and Dive Practice

The boys swim and dive team sat on the SM East bleachers waiting for head coaches Colby Dischinger and Wiley Wright to tell them what the warmup for the first day of practice was going to be, starting on Monday, Nov. 13. The six lanes were divided in half, with the first three for JV swimmers and the second half for varsity. Fifty-three boys tried out for the team, but the majority were freshmen who tried out for JV. This is a record number for the SM East boys swim team, with tryout numbers usually around thirty-five every year. There is also an increased number of divers, with four newcomers to the program.

The boys varsity swim and dive team will have their first meet on Friday, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m. at Trailridge Middle School.
