Gallery: Boys Sophomore Basketball Falls to Rockhurst 66-54

SM East’s C Team boys basketball team faced off in a tough matchup against Rockhurst on Feb. 14, ultimately falling to Rockhurst 66-54. It was a close game with the score at halftime tied 26-26. However, after halftime Rockhurst came back with a head of steam, knocking down multiple three pointers. At the end of the third quarter it was 46-39, Rockhurst leading by only seven points. However, East struggled with their fouling when Rockhurst was in the bonus at the end of game giving them some easy points to jump ahead for the win. Sophomore Benon Kusiak was the leading scorer for East with 21 points, almost half of East's total points. Other than Benon, scoring was pretty evenly divided between the other players.

East will play their next game against Lawrence Free State on Feb. 17th at SM East at 4:00 p.m.
