Gallery: Boys Sophomore Basketball Falls to Olathe West 53-40

The SM East boys sophomore basketball team fell to Olathe West 53-40 on Tuesday, Feb. 25. The Lancers were losing early, getting outscored 28-15 in the first two quarters. Coach Kevin Weisner got ejected from the game after receiving two technical fouls for arguing with the referees late in the second half. Multiple parents and students “booed” at the decision. In the third quarter, the Lancers were able to hold the Owls defensively and went on a scoring run, putting them behind six points with a score of 37-31. However, they were not able to keep that run going. Ultimately, the Lancers were outperformed again in the fourth quarter and lost the game 53-40.  

The sophomore boys next game will be at home against SM South on Friday, Feb. 28 at 4 p.m.
