The boys JV wrestling team attended a wrestling mixer hosted by Olathe West High School on Tuesday, Jan. 28. The Lancers faced opponents from Olathe North, Saint Thomas Aquinas and Olathe West. The event began at 5 p.m. with two wrestling mats set up in the main gym for matches. Each athlete competed in at least two matches, with a total of 42 SME matches. Freshmen Griffin Bolyard and Rehan Zahid and sophomore Billy Keane won individually. Each athlete was able to compete for team points that did not contribute to team placements.
The JV boys will have their next meet on Feb. 6 at 5 p.m. They will compete and face off against Olathe West High School.
