The boys Junior Varsity basketball team played against the SM South Raiders. To begin the game, the Lancers scored a layup by junior Tommy Trucksess. Through the first quarter, the Lancers put the pressure on the Raiders, but the Raiders fought back. The ending score of the first quarter was Lancers down 17-8. Starting off the second quarter, the Raiders cranked the pressure up for the Lancers. Throughout the second quarter, the Raiders were making a lot of three pointers. Going into halftime, the score was 33-17 with the Raiders in the lead.
Starting off the third quarter, the Raiders scored a layup. Throughout the third quarter, the Raiders were physical, allowing them to keep their advantage over the Lancers. To end off the third quarter, the score was 52-28 with the Raiders in the lead. Starting off the fourth quarter, the Lancers got a layup in the hoop. Through the first few minutes, the pressure from the Raiders eased down, but then the Raiders came through with the final score, the Lancers losing 70-41. The boys JV basketball team’s next game is on Feb. 27 at SM South at 11:30pm.
