Gallery: Boys JV Basketball Defeats Rockhurst 56-48

On Friday, Jan. 26, the jv boys basketball team took on the Rockhurst Hawklets. The Lancers came into the game with a 6-2 record, hoping for a win to start the night off for the varsity basketball game that followed. Junior Logan Verschelden led the team in scoring 14 points going 100% from three-point range from three attempts. The Lancers shot a combined 59% from three-point range and 50% from the field. Verschelden was followed up by sophomore Pearson Konold with 13 points. At half, the jv Lancer Dancers debuted their hip-hop routine for the East and Rockhurst student sections. By the end of the third quarter, SM East led 38-33. The team worked to bring the score up during the final quarter, resulting in the Lancers defeating the Hawklets 56-48.

The JV boys basketball team's next game is on Tuesday, Jan. 30 against Gardener Edgerton.
