The girl’s varsity Cross Country team moved onto to state while the boys’ barely missed the cut. The top three teams move onto State plus the top 10 individuals. Individually for the girls, junior Grace Meyer placed 3rd with a time of 18:37.10 and quickly followed by senior Kate Kowalik who placed 12th with a time of 19:40.40. Overall the girls’ placed second to send them off to state. On the boys’ side individually, sophomore Wyatt Haughton lead East by placing 11th with a time of 16:48.90, just barely missing the cut. The boys’ overall placed 7th, also not making the cut for State. State will be the following Saturday in Augusta KS where the girls team will run.
