With the new baseball season beginning, the freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior boys prepare for tryouts and want to do their best. The tryouts were Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday after school and they work every position: outfielding, batting, and pitching.
Senior pitcher and outfielder, Chris Closser, says,”I expect a challenging schedule right off the bat. We are going to have to play as more of a team this year and focus on playing with better team chemistry. My personal goal is to go out and give the team the best chance to get a win. The team goal is to get better through every practice and learn through each game on what we need to do to take a State Championship home.”
The team listings are announced after school.
Mark your calendars and go to their first game versus Lawrence Free State at home on March 27th.
