The Jewish Student Union held their first “Barkmitzvah” outside the commons on Nov.10. The club leaders are senior Alex Benditt and co-president senior Wheeler Sullivan. It was held to represent senior Sage Lickteig's dog, Piper, turning 13 years old. This coming of age celebration is one of the most important events in a Jewish person's life. The celebration started with club sponsor Shira Brudley explaining how a usual Bar mitzvah works and what it's like to be Jewish. The event had bagels, cookies and chips for the students to snack on.

The Jewish Student Union has meetings every other Monday from 3-3:40 in room 510.
