The mock trial team placed third at the state tournament at the Sedgwick County Courthouse in Wichita this weekend. The team of Michael Hill, Mark Towster, Michael Kennedy, Alexandra Felman, Samie Fetzer and Taylor Thompson participated.
The squad received second place out of 20 schools in sweepstakes at the Bishop Miege Forensics Tournament. Results are as follows.

Chris Carey: fifth in humorous interpretation
Jack Mitchell: fourth in humorous interpretation
Melanie Fletcher: first in dramatic interpretation (State qualifier)
Emily Lang: fifth in dramatic interpretation
Utsa Ramaswami: fifth in domestic extemporaneous speaking
Melanie Fletcher: first in oral interpretation of prose (State qualifier)
Ty Nanos: sixth in oral interpretation of prose
Sophie Poppie: third in oral interpretation of poetry
Emily Lang: fifth in oral interpretation of poetry
