Gallery: STUCO Can Olympics

This morning, StuCo put on their first annual Can Olympics in preparation for the month-long can drive coming up in November. Students of all grades participated in separate “olympic” competitions: eating soup without their hands, stacking cans in a shuttle run and wrapping their peers in toilet paper. Students also entered their names into a raffle for the opportunity to pie an administrator.

StuCo members from each grade announced their individual projects for the can drive: freshmen will be collecting cans in seminar, sophomores went trick-or-treating for cans last weekend and will be collecting cans at Friday’s football game, juniors are raking leaves for a suggested donation of $50, seniors are holding can competitions between different clubs, sports and organizations.

StuCo hopes to collect enough cans that all families who rely on the Johnson County Christmas Bureau will receive help this holiday season.
