Dynamic Duo Dance

SHARE will be hosting a Dynamic Duo Dance on April 18th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for girls and an adult guest of their choice, the pairs are encouraged to dress like any dynamic duo with their guest. Tickets cost $10 for presale and $20 at the door and all the proceeds will go to SafeHome, an organization that supports survivors of domestic abuse.  

The dance will be hosting a DJ for dancing and a photo backdrop to take pictures in your dynamic duo costumes similar to other east dances.

“We thought of donating to Safe Home because since it’s targeted towards dads and daughters, we thought that bringing awareness and support to domestic abuse for women was important” Senior SHARE executive Hannah Goettsch said.

The inspiration came from St. Teresa’s Academy’s recent father daughter dance, SHARE wanted to do something similar but didn’t restrain it to only father daughter pairs according to Senior SHARE chair Riley Kimmel, any girl and guest can come. Some inspiration also came from elementary school father daughter dances.

“I went to the father daughter dance at Belinder in elementary school and always thought it was a fun event with my dad so that had a big influence on my reasoning behind the dynamic duo dance” Goettsch said.

This event will give girls and their guests a time and place to spend time together.  Although this is a new event, SHARE encourages people to come and have a good time with their guest.
