Chick-fil-A is hosting a fundraiser tonight, April 7 from five to seven p.m., to benefit the senior’s after-graduation party. The fundraiser was organized by the senior graduation party committee and will be held at the Chick-fil-A at 8551 State Line Rd.
Chick-fil-A will donate a percentage of their profits from the night to the committee, which will use the proceeds to plan and host the graduation party on May 20th.
Everyone is encouraged to attended this event and must mention Shawnee Mission East when ordering so that a percent of their check will be donated.
For seniors currently involved in the assassins game, Chick-fil-A will be considered a safe zone so seniors can attend the event without fear of being shot.
This is the first of the fundraisers for the graduation party. The graduation party committee has also set up a website so that families can donate to the party.
The theme for the party this year is beach bash, and every dollar raised will be used to provide entertainment for the night.
“We want to keep our seniors together after graduation,” said committee member Dawn Thibodeau. “It’s their last time together as Lancers before they all head off on their separate ways, and we just want to make sure they have a great and safe night.”
