The cheerleaders are bringing a new twist to fundraising. Instead of coupon books and chocolate bars, they’re continuing their sale of customized ornaments.
The ornaments are on sale from now until Nov. 30. They can be purchased online or through any cheerleader.
“The money’s hopefully going to some cheer mats for safety and some new uniforms,” head coach Lindsey Haymond said.
These ornaments feature a painting done by well-known local artist Mike Savage, father of JV cheerleader Annie Savage. The painting shows cheerleaders standing in front of the school holding up a sign that says “Lancers”. The back of the ornaments can be customized with a student name and the activities that the student is involved in.
“They’re just a great gift,” Annie said. “They’re great for remembering what you did in high school for the rest of your life, unlike coupon books.”
