The weather is cooling, days are getting shorter and as far as school events go, it’s time to say goodbye to carwash season. Five groups — East’s theater, band, orchestra, cross country and choir — held carwashes over four consecutive weekends, with choir finishing off last Saturday.
Some might consider the East tradition a little repetitive, but it’s a different story for the participants themselves.
“It’s great to do something to help out a program you’re passionate about, but also to get to have fun at the same time,” said Junior Coleman Brockmeier, who participated in band’s car wash. “I enjoyed getting to splash my friends with soap suds.”
Not all carwashes were made equal. While all groups brought the same enthusiastic atmosphere to their event, other factors differed — from weather to profit to the intended use of the money earned. Take a look at the infographic to find out a little more about the individual carwashes.
