This morning, singer Taylor Swift announced that her re-recorded song, “This Love”, is releasing tonight through a promotional video featuring her song in the background. The commercial is for the show "The Summer I Turned Pretty," based on an award-winning book, that will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on May 5. “This Love (Taylor’s Version)” will drop tonight at midnight and may be a hint to which album is coming next.
Swift has been periodically re-recording her albums after losing ownership to the originals. She’s re-releasing her first six albums, up until her 2019 album, “Lover”. Swift has already released “Red (Taylor’s Version”) and “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” with never-heard-before songs from “The Vault.”
Along the way, she's been leaving easter eggs for her fans to guess which album is coming next. The song “This Love” is from her fan-favorite album “1989” which was originally released in October 2014. This is the second song she has released from “1989” — "Wildest Dreams” was her first.
