Breaking News: "No Kings Day" demonstrations across Kansas City protest President Donald Trump's Administration

Indivisible Kansas City — a grassroots political organization — along with other organizers, is holding “No Kings Day” protests across the Kansas City area today. The protests are part of the nationwide demonstration against President Donald Trump's policies.

The movement is purposefully set to oppose a military parade in Washington, D.C. on the same day. The parade is also taking place on President Trump’s birthday as well as Flag Day.

Thousands of demonstrators came to the four local protests taking place in Kansas City, Lee Summit, Lenexa and Overland Park.

In Overland Park, incoming sophomore Elena Hull participated in the rejection of Trump's policies. She stood with other protesters on the side of Metcalf Avenue, and although occasional angry drivers were passing by, she was happy with all the passion and support she saw.

“Humanity will prevail,” Hull said. “Seeing how many people in a red state would go out and protest and how many cheers we got when we were protesting, I mean, that was incredible to see. I can't even imagine it in a blue state.”

Incoming junior Sofia Paddock also went to the Overland Park protest. This was Paddock’s first ever protest, and she decided to come to stand up against President Trump’s policies. From increasing deportations to restricting social security benefits, Paddock argues that protesting is necessary.

“Seeing a person in an extremely high position right now, treating people the way [Trump] is and doing the crap that he's doing is just against what this country stands for and what it has been built on,” Paddock said. “Plus, just supporting our communities is the best thing we can do in hard times such as these.”

Millions of people are protesting in over 2,000 communities in all 50 states, according to ABC News.  So far, the “No Kings Day” protests nationwide have been peaceful, with people chanting, bringing homemade signs, playing music and cars honking with approval.

“I think ‘No Kings Day’ in itself will go down in history,” Hull said. “I'm not sure I can name too many days where the whole of America kind of came together to protest. I think it will spark change. I don't think Trump himself will change, but it will cause more Americans to research, and it will cause change, especially for future generations.”

WAYS TO RECOVER YOUR LOST BTC FROM A FAKE ONLINE BROKER.

I was scammed by a fake Bitcoin investment company last month and lost about $750,000, which was my life savings. They promised guaranteed profits, denied my withdrawal requests, and eventually disappeared. I was completely devastated and didn’t know where to turn.
A friend later referred me to SAFEGUARD RECOVERY EXPERT, and I reached out to them for help. They listened and guided me through the process.
