Breaking News: Girls state tennis team was announced on Oct. 7

The girl’s tennis state qualifying team was announced after the regional qualifying competition in Lawrence on Oct. 7.

A team of six girls will compete in Wichita on Oct. 14 and 15. The team consists of sophomore Ishya Bhasvar, juniors Katie Murphy, Katie Schmidt, Abigail Long and seniors Greta Stechschulte and Bryson Langford. 

“A lot of the teams we’re playing at state we have beaten before,” Long said. “I’m really confident in our team this year.”

Following three consecutive state titles, and a 12-0 season, Long thinks the team will do really well at state.
