Breakfast Connection: The Breakfast Club brings students from all grade levels together

It’s 8 a.m. on a Thursday morning as students slowly start to walk into the Chick-Fil-A where a strange gathering is occurring. A haphazard collection of tired students in pajamas are sitting together eating breakfast before heading to school.

This meeting was organised by The Breakfast Club, which is currently run by sophomore Graham Delzer and juniors Grace Deschaine and Eden Pfeifer, who aim to carry on the goal of connecting students across the school.

“[Breakfast Club] was started to get the grades closer together by having breakfast with everyone,” Deschaine said. “The whole point was to bring everyone together from their grade and not have separate friend groups.”

The club was initially formed by three seniors from the class of 2025 who started the club to bring the senior class closer together.

Last year, The Breakfast Club presidents created many traditions, like a pancake breakfast, and built a strong community within their grade. Club sponsor and chemistry teacher Susan Hallstrom fondly remembers these times.

“My favorite part [of Breakfast Club last year] was in second semester when the seniors who were really becoming aware that their time together, after having spent so much time together in this building, in this community, was coming to a close,” Hallstrom said. “It was joyful, yet bittersweet.”

The graduated seniors passed the club down to Deschaine, Pfeiffer and Delzer, who are doing their best to use the club to continue connecting students on a deeper level while expanding the members of the club to include all grades.

“[The previous presidents] had only their grade [in the club],” Deschaine said. “[The club] was to bring their grade together. We're trying to bring more people around the school together.”

Deschaine, Pfeifer and Delzer are aided in their goal to connect more people by the fact that they have siblings in other grades. Their siblings often attend the Breakfast Club and bring friends from different grades.

“Our siblings come with us because we all take them to school, because they're all freshmen,” Deschaine said. “So it's not only our grade, but we have the freshmen. It's fun because we need to drive them to school anyway, and it brings us closer to them, and they have sophomore friends, so they'll go too, and it just brings everyone together.”

Deschaine, Pfeiffer and Delzer have worked hard to continue having meetings once a month that make Breakfast Club a place where everyone is welcome, and they will continue to work hard to widen the club’s horizons and membership by diversifying the students that come to meetings.

“There are some people who you can tell are so outgoing and want to be friends with everyone, but there are some people who are, like, super introverted, and they come,” Pfeiffer said.

No matter who you are or what grade you’re in, Breakfast Club works to have a spot for all students to connect and make new friends, according to Pfeiffer.

I didn't feel that I would get my credit back on track because I have been dealing with a way to get over my medical bills and college bills for months now. Afterwards, I got introduced to XAP Credit Solution by my nephew about his credit services; and I emailed him requesting for help then not for up to three days, I started to see some improvement on my credit report as my score went up from 458 to 803 excellent score without any physical contact. Email him also here at Xapcreditsolution@GMAIL.COM and thank me later.
