The Lancer lacrosse team defeated Rockhurst at the LAKC Championship game, with a final score of 12-7. In the beginning, the players and coaches were worried about the score, which was 3-3 at the time, but East was able to keep up their winning streak. Goalie and junior Phillip Clemente thought we did a great job holding Rockhurst and our offense played really well. “I think our team was a powerhouse in the Kansas Missouri area and we were amazing all around in every position. We had the depth as well which is pretty rare. I think this was one of the best teams to come through East and this year really put us on the map,” Clemente said. Senior Griffin Fries thought everyone came together and played well as a team. When asked what he will miss most about East Lacrosse, he said, “Being a part of a team and playing for the unbelievable coaching staff.”
